Dear Colleagues:

Earlier this Jan., the worldwide digital security leader Gemalto got a deal from Banma Network Technology Company (the new joint venture company of Alibaba Group and Shanghai Automotive Group Co., Ltd. ) to provide security connection services to China first Internet car-Rongwei RX5. The safety and security issues has come the inevitable concerns for China emerging Internet car makers, as the high level of intelligence and connection requirement of their cars. A lack of end-to-end vehicle security services open business opportunities for Tier 1, automotive electronics providers, software/hardware, safety and security solutions providers etc. The upcoming “2nd Annual China Automotive Cyber Security Summit (ACSS2017)” to be held on the 23-24 Feb. 2017 in Eton Shanghai Hotel provide a precious platform for you to network with your existing and potential customers and update you with the latest China information security policies, standards, Connected car vulnerabilities and the consequential critical need to address core cyber security issues well before the point of cyber attack!”

As the event gains momentum we recently welcomed the worldwide leading companies including Brilliance Auto, NEXTEV, Pan Asia Technical Automotive Center, Synopsys, Denza New energy auto, Saic Auto, Changan auto, DaTang group, Lingyun Auto, Yundu New Energy Vehicle, ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Honeywell International, Green Hill Software, Bangcle, etc. In addition, our high profile speaker lineup make this event the one that you can not afford to miss out! We feel very hornoured to invite Mr. Hank Cohen from Green Hill Software to bring his over thirty years of experience in the computing and data networking industries to make a presentation on “Anchors of Trust: Building Secure Automotive Systems” . In his presentation he will give a background on cybersecurity explaining hacking exploits and how to engineer secure systems. Mr. Cohen will explain the requirements of security and the tools you can use to deliver those requirements. His presentation will contain a lots of practical materials on how to build secure systems today!

Also Dr. Michael Brasse, from Hella goup will present on the topic of “Relation between Cybersecurity and Functional Safety Activities”.  With trends like connected cars and autonomous driving on the horizon Cybersecurity is one of the crucial cornerstones for the success of new and innovative technologies. As a cross-domain topic Cybersecurity is not specific to just System, Hardware or Software. Thus, it shows similarities to another cross-domain topic, Functional Safety. This characteristic and current Cybersecurity standardization activities raise the question about the relationship between Cybersecurity and Functional Safety acitivites. In his presentation he will discuss this relationship and the question about the advantages, but also disadvantages of combining the activities of both topics.
