About FLYHT Aerospace Solutions Ltd.

FLYHT is a leading provider of real-time aircraft intelligence and cockpit communications for the aerospace industry. More than 70 customers, including airlines, leasing companies and original equipment manufacturers, have installed our systems to increase safety, improve operational efficiencies and enhance profitability. FLYHT’s proprietary technology, the Automated Flight Information Reporting System (AFIRSTM), operates on multiple aircraft types and provides functions such as safety services, voice and text messaging, data collection and transmission, and on-demand streaming of flight data recorder (black box), engine and airframe data. AFIRS sends this information through the Iridium Satellite Network to FLYHT’s UpTimeTM ground-based server, which routes the data to customer-specified end points and provides an interface for real-time aircraft interaction. AFIRS has flown over 2.6 million aggregate flight hours and 1.7 million flights on customers’ aircraft. FLYHT holds supplemental type certificates (STC) which allow for the installation of AFIRS on 95% of transport category aircraft.

According to IATA, China will displace the US as the world’s largest aviation market (defined by traffic to, from and within the country) around 2024。China is building out a massive increase in their fleets and actual airports, and is becoming a global force. However at the same time, that also brings the greatest safety challenge ever than before, especially in monitoring aircraft beyond the range of air traffic controllers. To meet upcoming ICAO requirements for 15-minute reporting in 2018, and automatics distress tracking in 2021, This year in March, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has issued Roadmap for implementation of aircraft tracking and monitoring system. In the future 5 years the China airline industry will heavily invest in the area of 4D/15 tracking capability, ADS-B, SBB, “Beidou”satellite, Risk identification and early warning technology, ADT, R-FDR/CVR and global seamless tracking capabilities etc.

Given an Air China passenger plane nearly collided with a mountain in June when it deviated from its flight path after taking off from Hong Kong International Airport. Chinese aviation industry is continually looking at new ways to improve the global flight tracking capabilities. Mr. Perez’s presentation “The Future is now, Real-time FDR Streaming – Available Today” will introduce FLYHT real-time flight data recorder (FDR) streaming technology that meets the needs of ICAO GADSS and the business case on how we can make streaming a reality for airlines today.

“The Flight Location & Data Recovery China Conference 2017” (FLDR2017) is a platform for airline companies, Aircraft Manufacture, Navigation Services Providers, space-based global air traffic surveillance system providers, flight data tracking data companies, geographic information system providers, in-flight connectivity solution providers and avionics companies etc. to discuss cost effective, safe and autonomous flight tracking systems, new emerging technologies of surveillance and communications, data transmission and recovery, and distress tracking and rescue to reduce the challenges of accident investigations. The participation of FLYHT to the Conference will help to examine how the airlines industry can enhance the safety level of flight to meet the requirements of future standard systems.
