In that year, we had 157 events including fascinating talks by Dr Robin Hanbury-Tenison on "Finding Eden: A Journey into the Heart of Borneo"; Dame Fiona Reynolds on "Heritage Under Threat – A Global Challenge"; Robert Swan on polar exploration; Hon Alexandra Shackleton on her grandfather's legacy - The Endurance Exhibition; and William Dalrymple who was the Guest of Honour for our Annual Dinner.
