We hope that you have enjoyed the some 35 events we have held over the last twelve months and that you’ll renew your membership for this year.  Over the coming year, we have another exciting programme of speakers and field trips, including:

George Band, returning to speak on the first ascent of Kangchenjunga

William Dalrymple on his most recent books

Sir Chris Bonington on his early climbs

Tom Hendricks, the leading US astronaut

Stephen Venables, on his solo ascent of Everest, without oxygen, by the then unclimbed Kangshung face from Tibet

Robert Swan, the leading polar explorer and conservationist

 

We are delighted to inform you that for the twelfth year running, we have not raised our membership fees, in order to continue giving maximum benefit to members.  The membership year runs from 1 April - 31 March and we thank you for your support of the Society.  There is no need to take any action if you have already renewed or have recently joined. 

 

Numerous members have requested to be able to pay by autopay, so we are delighted that this is being introduced this year as the preferred payment method.  This payment method saves the Society considerable administrative expenses and this saving is going to be returned to Members by way of a discount of $20 in perpetuity from the relevant membership fee.

Membership Renewal 2009- 2010

Methods of renewing membership

To renew your membership of the Royal Geographical Society – Hong Kong, you can:

  • Complete an autopay form: Copy attached: Return the completed autopay form and your completed renewal form to the RGS address below. This payment method saves the Society considerable administrative expenses and this saving is going to be returned to Members by way of a discount of $20 in perpetuity from the relevant membership fee.

  • Make an internet transfer: Print out the completed transfer information and fax or email it, with the completed renewal form below, to the RGS.

  • Make an ATM transfer: Request a confirmation slip (“ATM customer advice”) and fax or email it, with the completed renewal form below, to the RGS.

  • Post a cheque: Payable to Royal Geographical Society – Hong Kong with this completed renewal form to the RGS mailbox, address below.
