Hello! It's here! The month of
more carolling than you can shake a stick at... well, it would be if I had my
way.
Our flagship performance 'A Kassia Christmas Carol' with Kassia Men and
Women is arriving at the Sheung Wan Civic Centre on the 15th &
16th. The show follows the
story of Ebeneezer Scrooge and his journey of transformation from a “grasping,
scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner... to a good a friend and as good a
man as the good old city of London knew”. Narrated by Michael Harley, who recently appeared as Duncan in the sold-out production of Macbeth in May, the show
promises to deliver a good dose of Christmas spirit to one and all.
We've got our second annual Community Christmas Carols on Friday 5th
December, 8pm – all welcome! I'm very happy to report that we will be raising
money in support of Operation Santa Claus this year. Another reason to
celebrate!
Katterwall will be at the Discovery Bay Market on the 7th and
Conrad Christmas Fair on the 9th where we'll be selling 'A Kassia
Christmas Carol' concert tickets and 'The First Five Years' CDs. Come and say
'hi!'
Have a wonderfully festive month wherever in the world you
are.
Yours |

IN FOCUS:
Katterwall's Community Christmas Carols – in support of Operation Santa
Claus
|
Join us at Katterwall's second Community Christmas Carols at Lok Hing Lane Amphitheatre, near Lan Kwai
Fong, on Friday 5th.
This time last year,
Katterwall was one of the first successful hirers of the space where over 150
people turned up to sing traditional carols accompanied by a merry band of
musicians. It was a very relaxed affair with toddlers dancing, sleigh bells
ringing and wine drinking.
If this sound like a great way to kick starts your
Christmas, we'll see you at the Amphitheatre at 8pm on Friday 5th!

I sometimes wonder
which would be nicer – an opera without an interval, or an interval without an
opera.

'Tweekend'
The song, with
its mixture of pure electronica, distorted guitar riffs and heavy bass line,
provides a cross-genre offering which is high in energy. The driving drumbeats
at 90bpm give you ample opportunity to jump up and down. The rap gives you
something to shout out on the dancefloor and the break is tasteful. Altogether,
this is a great song to have on an iPod.
