Hello!

The summer is well and truly here and Kassia Choir's first Fling of 2010 is mid-rehearsal with the programme coming together nicely. Summer Fling No. 1 will be performed on Saturday 17th July at ROCKSCHOOL, tickets available from the office.

After a short break we will get ready for Summer Fling No. 2 featuring even more music from the hugely popular Glee plus the Beatles and the Mommas and Poppas. There's still time to audition for this great, short season – drop us a line!

If you fancy stretching yourself, I will be running a Music Bootcamp for adults next weekend which will cover aspects of sightsinging, harmonising and music theory. Total immersion for a couple of days!

For the kids this summer, we've got Hullaballoo for 5 – 8 year olds, Singin'SKool for 9 – 12 year olds and Andrew's brand new musical 'A Spell For Lunch' for 11 – 18 year olds (see In Focus for more details).

Looking further ahead the regular Kassia Choir's Christmas show will start rehearsals in early October and for the first time, men and women will be rehearsing and singing together for the entire show. More details to come next month!

IN FOCUS: 'A Spell For Lunch' – a brand new musical by Andrew Swift!

The final touches are being added to Andrew's musical that will receive it's debut performance at ROCKSCHOOL this August.

If you're aged 11 – 18 and would like to take part in this brand new show about a secret coven of witches that save the day at their high school, drop us a line!

Rehearsals will be held at Katterwall's studio, lead by Andrew Swift and Naomi Symeou. There will also be an afternoon at Chameleon Workshop making props and costume pieces for the show.

Rehearsals 11th - 20th August with a performance on Saturday 21st August.
