Hello Autumn!

Our new teaching year is gathering steam and this month we were happy to hear that two of our students, Nina Harty and Olivia Hawthorne have successfully auditioned for England’s top-notch, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, bringing our total number of Tring success stories to 8 and counting!!
 
Coming up next we have our 2nd Katterwall Teachers' Recital – see below for details – plus a growing list of Christmas-themed events, including the opening of HK Tourism Board’s ‘Winterfest’ and the launch of RTHK’s ‘Operation Santa Claus’ appeal. Katterwall Teachers' Recital 2011 

Next month, Katterwall’s teachers will be presenting a varied selection of vocal music including solos, duets and ensembles works in their second annual recital with music from the worlds of opera, musical theatre, jazz, celtic and medieval  music.
 
8pm, Saturday 24th November
Lecture Hall, 5/F Sheung Wan Civic Centre, 345 Queen’s Road Central
Tickets: $180 ($100 concessions) and are available from all URBTIX outlets from 26th Oct
 
The recital will last around 2 hours including an interval.
Ages 6+ are welcome

Get ready for 'A Glee-ful Kassia Christmas' this December

A date for your Christmas diary: Kassia Men and Women will be putting on two Christmas shows in December with a programme that takes its inspiration from GLEE’s Christmas Special episode.
 
Thursday 8th and Friday 9th December
Theatre, Sai Wan Ho Civic Centre, 111 Shau Kei Wan Road, Shau Kei Wan
 
Even if you’ve not seen this award winning TV show, the concert will be sure to get you in the spirit of the season with songs including:
Last Christmas – Wham
Merry Christmas, Darling – The Carpenters
You’re a mean one, Mr. Grinch – How the Grinch stole Christmas
We need a little Christmas – Mame
When a child is born – Johnny Mathis
Merry Christmas, everybody – Slade
I have a dream – ABBA
 
The show will feature the stunning vocals of Terri Oliver.
