Happy New Year of both varieties!

We had a great Christmas season at Katterwall, thank you to everyone who came, saw and sang with us!
 
For 2012, we have two great new projects: Terri’s Mic Technique Workshops open to all ages, and Naomi’s Katterwall Children’s Musical Theatre group on Saturday mornings. See below for more details on both. 
 
Kassia Women’s Choir have started rehearsing their next term Kassia Goes Pop! which you will be able to catch at the HK Rugby Sevens' as well as the Royal HK Yacht Club in Causeway Bay in March. Kassia Men’s Chorus will be getting soulful after CNY with new conductor (and Soho Collective regular)  James Smith. They will be putting on a reprise of Soul Man later this year.  James is keen to hear from anyone who would like to join the singing.

Mic Technique Workshop
with Terri Oliver

For anyone who has ever wanted to improve their microphone technique, this is the opportunity to learn from a pro! Terri has been working in studios and fronting bands for the past 15 years and has a wealth of experience and knowledge to pass on.
 
The 90-minute mic workshop will focus on three main topics: Distancing, Holding and Positioning the mic.  It will also cover the different kinds of microphones and their capabilities as well as the importance of good diction.
 
Mic Workshops:  4 – 5.30pm, 11th Feb, 25th Feb, 10th March @ Katterwall Studio
 
There is no age limit for this workshop, places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
Min. 4 and max. 6 participants in each workshop
Fee: $500 each workshop

Katterwall Children's Music Theatre
with Naomi Symeou

A fun drama course for 9-10 year olds. Drama games, improvisation, script and song will build your child's confidence, creativity and teamwork skills whilst developing imagination and self-expression. This ongoing course will conclude each term with an open 'showing' of our work, for parents and friends.

Every Saturday: 11am – 12:15pm @ Katterwall Studio
