 OPENING DAY!
February 2009

Letter From the Executive Director

Dear Friends and Supporters,

Come by this Valentine's day and celebrate the Opening of our new center!  We will have an official Grand Opening and Ribbon cutting in a month or so, but on Saturday, our doors will open.

The Austin Dog Alliance Training and Adpotion Center officially opens on Saturday, February 14 from 10am to 3 pm. There will be cookies and punch, a New Puppy seminar in the morning and our Puppy Love Meet and Greet for lots of Valentine's Day kisses in the afternoon.

We are located at the southwest corner of Lake Creek Parkway and RR 620. (12129 RR 620, Suite 401, Austin).

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind and I am truly grateful for all of the volunteers who worked so hard on making this opening a reality. Because you stopped by and grabbed a paintbrush, screwdriver, broom, or bottle of Windex, we are open for business!

Thank You -

Every dog needs some type of training and not every dog owner has the know-how to train every doggie skill.  We have the answer! Our positive-focused classes, run by professional trainers are fun and educational for both you and your dog.

We have a variety of classes that will help you polish your dog's social skills, teach your dog new tricks, and even launch a doggie career as a Delta Pet Therapy Dog.

Because our mission is to make dogs a part of the community, we are offering discounts to adopted rescue dogs. All Austin Dog Alliance adopters get a discount of 25% off your first class and the New Puppy and New Dog seminars are free (registration is required). Also, anyone that has adopted from ANY rescue or shelter in the last 6 months gets a 10% discount.

Check out our class schedule and register online.  Classes start Monday, February 16.  See you in class!

Wish List

As you can imagine, the costs involved in opening a public Training and Adoption Center are extensive.  We are looking for corporate sponsorships and donations, big and small.  Every dollar will be put to good use.  If cash is a bit tight right now, but you still want to contribute, consider volunteering or donating one of the items on our wish list.

Thank You from all of us at Austin Dog Alliance.
