香港儲物室迷你倉加入創意元素打動客戶

宗立政先生獲邀在城大「商業領袖論壇」演講

 

 

香港儲物室董事總經理宗立政先生獲香港城市大學市場營銷學系邀請,於2014911日,在「商業領袖論壇」演講,題為《「以創意打動客戶」之營商理念》。當晚,宗先生講述如何把創意元素注入傳統的迷你倉行業內,使香港儲物室成為別具一格的新一代迷你倉,更藉此經驗勉勵同學們面對各種挑戰時,應抱積極態度。

 

論壇開始時,宗先生就以自己親身創業的成敗經歷作為引旨,闡述創意對經營一門生意的重要性。在他而言,孕育創意的土壤源於閱讀。因閱讀不單能令他掌握決策的智慧,並且能提升專業知識。再者,宗先生喜歡探索陌生事物,每當遇上難題,都會以多角度思考尋求新路向。這對他日後發展迷你倉事業奠下重要基礎。

 

當談及創立「Yes-Storage悠然自儲」的品牌時,宗先生認為要發揮創意的力量在於結合過往經驗和多角度思維,在探索的過程中,要時刻保持正向態度,以堅毅精神來實踐創新意念。例如,在剛構思Yes-Storage時,宗先生都是經過不斷摸索,邀請現有客戶試用,多次修改品牌元素等等,才建立清晰的品牌個性,創作出「包接送迷你倉」的宣傳概念。

 

宗先生表示:「一個成功的品牌,最重要是以客戶的心和體驗出發,創出獨特的形象贏得客戶的認同。例如我們了解到現今客戶對迷你倉的要求再不止於一個儲物空間,因此我們把貼心的服務揉合富時代感的儲物空間,為香港儲物室品牌注入「精品級」迷你倉的概念,引入「星級隨你搬」服務,徹底打破大眾對迷你倉沉悶和不舒適的印象。」宗先生亦舉出另一個極具創意的企業文化,就是將員工當作顧客般看待,在企業日常工作環境及制度中,向員工灌輸以心待客的品牌價值,使他們更明白作為客戶的感受,只有將心比己,才可以提供能打動客戶的服務體驗。

 

最後,宗先生以自己的人生格言「沒甚麼是不可能的」來鼓勵各位同學,無論日後人生旅途遇上任何困難及挑戰,都要緊記只要堅持,沒有甚麼是不可能的。宗先生十分榮幸能夠代表香港儲物室出席是次的「商業領袖論壇」,並希望將來可與香港城市大學的同學作更多交流,共同成長。

Hongkong Storage - Winning Customers by Innovations in Self-Storage Industry

Mr. Louis Chung Gave Talk at “Business Leader Forum” in CityU

 

 

Mr. Louis Chung, Managing Director of Hongkong Storage, was invited by the Department of Marketing, City University of Hong Kong to give a talk, entitled “Winning Customers with Innovative Ideas”, at “Business Leader Forum” on 11th September 2014. Mr. Chung demonstrated how his innovative ideas to make Hongkong Storage as the most unique and outstanding self-storage operator in the conventional self-storage industry. With his experience, he encouraged the undergraduates that they need to have a positive thinking in encountering challenges.

 

As the talk began, Mr. Chung used his past experience in starting businesses to explain how important creativity was. To him, nurturing creativity requires reading because it helps him in decision-making process, as well as acquiring more professional knowledge. Moreover, he loves learning about new things and using multi-thinking skills to solve challenges. This has set a solid foundation in developing his career in self-storage industry.

 

When creating the brand of “Yes-Storage”, Mr. Chung said that allowing creativity to flourish requires taking past experience as reference, along with using multi-thinking skill. In addition, it is also needed to keep a positive mind and be endured to make the idea come true, as Mr. Chung had gone through a trial-and-error process to build the brand image of “Yes-Storage”. Now, the promotional concept of “point-to-point self-storage” is established for the brand.

 

“A successful brand needs to consider customers’ experience, and base on that, to create a unique image in winning customers. For example, we understand that providing only a storage space cannot satisfy our customers. Therefore, we upgrade our services and create the brand new ‘Boutique Style Self-storage’, which combines modern interior design and premium transportation services in offering a unique storage experience,” stated Mr. Chung. He also pointed out another disruptive idea in corporate culture, which is treating staff as the customers. Meanwhile, the management team promotes the brand value “serving with heart” in the workplace, so that our staff can understand and satisfy customers’ specific needs.

 

At last, Mr. Chung stated his motto, “Nothing is impossible”, to encourage the students to be endured when they face challenges. Mr. Chung is also very honoured to be invited to the “Business Leader Forum”, and hopes to seek more communication with the students in the future.
