|
ULI Thought Leader:
Gary Hack, Professor, UPenn School of Design
Cities around the world are realizing that dealing with carbon emissions and the potential for climate change will have a huge impact on their competitiveness over the next several decades. Please join ULI member Mr. Gary Hack, a Professor and Former Dean of the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Design, for a presentation and luncheon. Professor Gary Hack will describe the strategies cities are adopting, and show examples of places that have differentiated themselves by addressing these issues vigorously. ULI Vision Statement for The City in 2050 Initiative:
The City in 2050: Creating Blueprints for Change initiates a multi-year dialogue around urban development strategies leading into the mid-21st century. The rising significance of urban development as a means toward achieving public policy goals presents new choices and trade-offs for all involved decision makers. Explore and help us define what land use professionals will need to consider while seeking to create communities that are economically, environmentally and socially sustainable.
