标准相关的要求和测试覆盖了产品分类，标记，机械结构，电气结构和光生物安全性。第八版将取代2008年发布的第七版。

IEC 60598-1:2014 ed8.0 Luminaires - Part 1: General requirements and tests was published on May 26, 2014.
The requirements and related tests of this standard cover: classification, marking, mechanical construction, electrical construction and photobiological safety.This eighth edition will cancel and replace the seventh edition published in 2008.
Besides this update, if you would be interested in more performance requirements? Like: How does IEC/TR 62778 be applied under 8th edition of IEC 60598-1? How ErP 1194 requirement effect products’ design? Product Expert of Lighting – Mr. Magic Tong is invited to share such updates with you.
