IEC 60598-1:2014 ed8.0 Luminaires - Part 1: General requirements and tests was published on May 26, 2014.
The requirements and related tests of this standard cover: classification, marking, mechanical construction, electrical construction and photobiological safety.This 8th edition will replace the 7th edition published in 2008.
