DEKRA Secures Official Accreditation for Emergency Lighting in UAE
阿联酋授权德凯成为紧急照明设备测试与认证机构
DEKRA has recently received official recognition from the Department of Civil Defence in the United Arab Emirates as a Testing & Certification Body for emergency lighting. Hence, by working with DEKRA, it is now even easier for manufacturers of emergency lighting products to gain access to the flourishing UAE market.
Many manufacturers of lighting, cables and other industrial products are benefiting from exciting business opportunities in the Middle East, and especially in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The country’s burgeoning economy is mirrored in an extremely high rate of active construction projects to build new accommodation and business premises. For safety reasons, all those new retail stores, offices and other buildings are required by law to be fitted with emergency lighting.
Before emergency lighting can be installed in premises in the UAE, it is mandatory that the products are tested and certified by a Notified Body which has been approved by the relevant government authority, namely the UAE Department of Civil Defence. DEKRA has now become one of the few Certification Bodies with official approval, enabling the organisation to support manufacturers of emergency light systems in capitalising on the export opportunities in the UAE.
