We welcome Yukino, our first Japanese International Member, and her son Lewis, who joint us from Whittier, California. Yukino has helped us translate announcements from English to Japanese so as to better reach our Japanese speaking friends interested in joining HKIHA.
Welcome to Juliet and Victor, originally from Singapore, now joining us from Arcadia, California! Juliet has learnt Hula in 2004 so please share your knowledge with other members when you have time. Juliet and Victor just opened up their new store selling high quality electronic promotional items. Congratulations! Our Ohana is really growing!

| First Zhongshan Hawaiian Week |

HKIHA has organized an event for members and friends to participate in the first ever Hawaiian Week in Zhongshan.
We shall leave for Zhongshan from the Shun Tak Ferry Terminal on Saturday 26 April at 9:00 am and return to Hong Kong on Sunday at 8:00 pm, allowing ample time to tour the city and participate in the Luau Festival on Saturday evening with Hawaiian buffet, Hula and lots of fun.
The cost, including round-trip ferry from Hong Kong to Zhongshan, 4 star hotel accommodation, breakfast and Luau is $700 for non-members, with discount for members.
Don't miss this chance to refresh your memory of Hawaii and Hula and have a taste of Hawaii close to Hong Kong.

Susanna, our International Member from Sydney, would like to share her first (and probably last) experience as a host family for rugby players from Canada.
"This billeting concept saves money but for the hosting family it is a disaster with children still in school and where transport is an issue. Philip had to be available at all times as a driver. Samuel's study time was zero as it all changed to party/gathering time."
