Our International Members, Paul and Devin, from California and Hawaii respectively, came to Hong Kong to celebrate with us on this important day.
It is hard to believe that the Hong Kong International Hula Association is now fully one year old. Thanks to the avid support of our members, within this short twelve months we have received applications for membership from friends from as far away as Sweden, Canada, the USA and Australia to share the Aloha spirit.
During this period, HKIHA has also sent delegates to participate in cultural exchange activities in various cities, including Honolulu, Waimea, Los Angeles, Beijing and Zhongshan, and to explore ways to provide more opportunity for people to learn and enjoy hula, especially when it is not practical for them to visit Hawaii frequently.
We have established our goals for the next year. They include running more seminars on Hawaiian culture, more hula classes, strengthening our relationship with Hawaii and providing training for instructors. If you like to contribute your effort to support our goals, please click here to complete the membership application form.

International Waikiki Hula Conference |
Delegates from HKIHA attended the 3-day conference held at the Hawaii Convention Center from 13th to 15th. Because it is the largest hula conference held in Hawaii, we sent our special reporter to provide comprehensive video coverage of the workshops, performances and the opening and closing ceremonies, so that members who were unable to attend can also share the excitement of the events from the videos.

World Invitational Hula Festival
|
We have invited Tommy from Sun Yat-sen University in China, who is now studying in the University of Hawaii, to join us in watching some world class hula competitions in the World Invitational Hula Festival. We wish Tommy all the best in his studies and that he will bring along his hula experience home when his graduates from Hawaii.
