Hawaiian Family Day

Participants gathered to learn how to make lei from freshly imported flowers for themselves and their loved ones on the Hawaiian Family Day.
Wearing their lei, families and friends of HKIHA danced to the tune of the song "A Plumeria Lei". The day ended with sharing of own Hawaiian experience with each another. A few guests learnt about the beauty of hula for the first time and could not wait to enroll in the upcoming classes.

Annual Dinner

Members and friends savoured Hawaiian food served luau style at the annual dinner of the HKIHA, held on the 26th October. Participants were treated with Kalua pig, papaya salad, fresh pineapple, fish fillet with macademia nut sauce, tropical fruit punch and other mouth-watering dishes.
Participants also enjoyed a polynesian show video and Hawaiian music during the evening. We particularly welcome Lily and Kitty, our International Members from Toronto and New York, who joint us at this special annual event.

Hula Performance

Venue: Sheung Wan Promenade
Since December 2001, the Central and Western District Council organizes the Sheung Wan Promenade event during the Christmas and New Year Festive season. Each year over 500,000 visitors were attracted to the event.
Apart from specialty stalls, artists are invited to perform for the event on Sundays.
This year the HKIHA is honoured to be invited to stage a performance to introduce the beauty of hula to the community and visitors.
Please come early at the time specified above, as seats are limited. Invite your family and friends and enjoy the show!
