This song is written by Francis Keali`inohopono Beamer in 1937 for his wife, Louise Leiomalama Walker Beamer. She was the Hawaiian culture consultant for the movie "Waikiki Wedding" starring Bing Crosby. Injuring her foot, she was unable to work at the studio for a week, inspiring Pono to set his desire to music - to return with his sweetheart to their home in the kuahiwi of Alewa Heights.

Welcome Reception for Friends from Japan

Lewis, our international member from California, will be attending an internship programme in a global company in Shenzhen from June to August. Lewis will stop by Hong Kong to visit us when he has time. Lewis is also invited to join our international class on Saturday afternoons.
