Performance in Guangzhou

We visited Guangzhou from 9 to 11 October and performed at the Dongfang Hotel, one of the landmark hotels in the city.  Among the spectators were some 200 civil servants from Macao, Guangzhou and Hong Kong.  The theme of the performance is harmony with nature and with each another.  The spectators applauded at both our magnificent performance as well as the message.  The show was recorded by the Guangdong Television (GDTV).

Guangzhou is a thriving and dynamic metropolis gearing up for the Asian Games in 2010.  We are glad to be able to have the opportunity to introduce a part of Hawaiian culture to the city.

We welcome our new member, Troy, from Honolulu, Hawaii.  Troy was originally from Hilo and enjoys spreading Hawaiian culture to different parts of the world.  If you have heard of the store selling shirts, bags and accessories, Haleiwa Super Market, this is the store Troy is working for.

A warm welcome, Troy, to our ohana!
