Like the lion in the Western culture, the Tiger is the King of the Jungle in the East. Its vivid stripes symbolize the balanced forces of `yin' and `yang'. The tiger is one of the most dynamic signs in the zodiac, a symbol of power and authority, as it has the potential to become vigorous, ferocious and fearless.
Members of HKIHA celebrated the Year of the Tiger in a carnival event organized with the Wanchai District Board in Hong Kong on 20 February, 2010.

Adrienne is a professional artist. She started learning hula in Vietnam when she was a child. At the age of 5, she made a charity performance which won great applause from spectators. Afterwards, she studied dancing in Europe, but never had another chance to learn hula again.
When Adrienne found us, she was eager to show us the artwork she had done, which included paintings, pottery and sculpture, but what excited her the most was the opportunity to learn hula again. We are very happy to be able to help to make Adrienne’s dream come true.
To enable more people to enjoy the beauty of hula, Adrienne is offering a limited number of sponsorships for beginners to join our classes. To apply, please call (852) 66020201 or email HKIHA@cnconsultants.com. |
