Time to show our Aloha spirit
|

The earthquake and the resulting tsunami have caused unprecedented destruction to parts of Japan. We were relieved to receive news from all our members in Japan that both themselves and their family members were not directly affected by the disaster. However, some are now living in areas where the water supply has been contaminated by radioactive fallout.
During the commotion in Bankok in 2008, HKIHA has provided emergency shelter to four of our members and friends whose travel arrangement to Thailand was deranged. HKIHA wishes to extend our Aloha to all our members and their families in Japan who need temporary accommodation away from their home because of health hazard. For immediate assistance, please contact HKIHA. |
He will carry you
|

Modern hula is sometimes adapted to songs not originally from Hawaii. “He will carry you” is a beautiful and meaningful song frequently performed in churches. The first verse of the song reads:
There is no problem too big God cannot solve it
There is no mountain too tall He cannot move it
And there is no storm too dark God cannot calm it
There is no sorrow too deep He cannot soothe it
We shall perform this hula on 9 April and dedicate it to all those who have suffered because of the Japan tsunami disaster. |
