Fiery of Kilauea

Kilauea Volcano on the Big Island is one the most active volcanoes in the world.  She has been sending ribbons of glowing lava down the mountainside and adding new land around the southeastern shore on the Island almost continuously since 1983.

The fiery of Kilauea is vividly visualized by students of the Alohi Polynesian Dance Academy in a magnificent hula.  From the choreography, you can see lava splattering from the vent and creeping over the mountain slope, and hear the murmur of the lava lake.  To enjoy this volcano hula, please click here!

How to Cook Kalua Pig

Kalua pig is the well-recognized signature dish to be served in luau or feasts in Hawaii.  If you miss its distinct flavor, here is a recipe from Huang, a famous restaurant owner in Honolulu.

Ingredients:

l         Pork (7 lbs.)

l         Sea salt, preferably Hawaiian sea salt (2 table spoons)

l         Garlic (2 table spoons)

l         Onion, preferably Maui onion (2 table spoons)
l         Black pepper (2 tea spoons)

l         Liquid smoke (2 table spoons)

Marinate the pork with the ingredients above.  Cover with Ti leaves or banana leaves; wrap in aluminium foil and then bake at 350 degrees for two and a half hours.  A yummy dish will be ready to delight your family and friends.

Member's Corner

Victor, our International Member from Los Angeles, would like to share with you a free-radical product called RESERVE.  It is  made from 7 types of organic fruits, and tastes like concentrated grape juice.  Each packet contains 30 ml and has the power of 70 bottles of red wine but you won't get drunk for taking a packet.

Victor drank a packet for 12 days and was very happy to tell us that the his pain in his right leg was now gone.  If you wish to learn more about the product from Victor, please send an email to hkiha@cnconsultants.com.
