Do you have a Mac? The new iPhoto '09 version available since March 2009 has new features to recognize Faces and Places.
 
With Faces, all you do is identify who the face belongs to, i.e. Julian or Audrey, and iPhoto will scan all your photos to come up with matches and tag them with the same name. You then confirm yes or no.

With Places, if you have a GPS enabled camera, or iPhone, the new iPhoto can map the place you visited, i.e. Paris or Bangkok, and then sort your photos by locations on google map. So what good is this for you? You can then include maps in your photo books and movies! You can even add place names manually.
 
I have a few spaces left in iPhoto 09 class coming Tuesday May 12 from 9:30am to 1:00pm, held at Digital Salon across Pacific Place Three. Also, Digital Camera Basics is Monday May 11 (Deadline TODAY!)

If you are a current YWCA member, you can sign up online with a username and password from the Y. Please call the YWCA at 3476 1340 for further info or go to YWCA's web site. They can sign up members or non-members.
