FINAL CALL!! World Fashion Design Competition and Award 2016: deadline for application extended to 29 February 2016

Upon requests from the industry, we are pleased to announce that the deadline for application of World Fashion Design Competition and Award (WFDA) 2016 is further extended to 29 February 2016 so that more fashion suppliers can take advantage of this golden opportunity to stand out and showcase their design competence and innovative products, and demonstrate their long-term manufacturing experiences to buyers.
Suppliers nowadays take more initiative to provide buyers with designed products for selection as well as the flexibility and adaptability for different changes, which requires a stronger, more reliable, allied partnership between buying offices and suppliers.
In keeping with the latest consumption and sourcing trends, six awards, including fashionCHIC, fashionDECO, fashionFINE, fashionLEAN, fashionPURE and fashionTECH, will be presented to winning companies to address the best use of accessories and trimmings, fine or technical materials, environmentally friendly materials, advanced technology, or to recognise the best production in lean and/or sustainable processing.
The Ultimate Winner of the Competition will also be presented to the company that wins the most awards overall. A special award, Country of the Year, will also be presented to the representative of the winning country in recognition of their efforts in promoting the competition.

Announcement of winners: 14-15 March 2016

All awards and winning items will be announced and displayed at the 11th Prime Source Forum (PSF), which is considered to be the signature event of the global fashion industry, from 14-15 March 2016 in the Mira Hong Kong.
Additional benefits to be gained from participating in the WFDA: -
- promote the latest collection of the designed products
- generate possible leads through interaction with judges and other participants
- mingle with decision makers over the two-day Forum
- gain industry updates and the wisdom of speakers through discussions at PSF

PRIZES AND AWARD CEREMONY
No one will know which the winning companies are until the PSF2016! Representatives of the participating companies should attend the award ceremony, as the awards will only be announced on these two days.
The winning/pre-selected companies will receive the following complimentary promotion and networking opportunities at PSF2016: -
- Attendance of the two-day Forum, coffee breaks, luncheons and cocktail reception for mingling with delegates including executives of buying offices
- Showcase of the pre-selected/ winning items at the two-day PSF2016
- Announcement of winning items and awards presented by judges and VIPs on stage
- Interview arrangement with media or trade press
- Accommodation in Hong Kong (for overseas participants)
World Fashion Design Competition is international. Fashion suppliers from all over the world are welcomed to participate in this international event. Young or individual designers are encouraged to work with the suppliers/producers to apply for the Competition.
Renowned designers, chief editors of fashion magazines, senior executives of sourcing and product development of fashion brands and retailers will be invited to judge.
