Kosta Browne Winery sources Pinot Noir grapes from Russian River Valley, Sonoma Coast, Anderson Valley, Santa Lucia Highlands & Sta Rita Hills appellations. For about 20 yrs, they had made plenty of outstanding pinot noirs including the #1 in the "Top 100 Wines of the Year 2011" from Wine Spectator. Nowadays, Kosta Browne has become one of the biggest name in California Pinot Noir with a long waitlist for allocations. Its pinot noirs are full-bodied, powerful, tends to be more fruit-driven, budding with luscious fruit and a touch of new oak. |

2013 Kosta Browne Winery, Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
RP93 |
HKD $760.00 |
"Harvest between September 6th and October 2nd, the 2013 Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands is a flat out gorgeous Pinot Noir that offers tons of black raspberries, crushed flowers and spice-like characteristics on the nose. Seeing 16 months in 40% new French oak, it has a polished, creamy, sexy texture, yet backs it up with terrific mid-palate depth and a great finish. It should be at its best in another year or so and have a decade or more of longevity. It's just as good as a number of the more expensive single vineyards releases." - Robert Parker |

2014 Kosta Browne Winery, Giusti Ranch Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
RP96+ |
HKD $1,100.00 |
"Another Russian River Valley release, the 768-case 2014 Pinot Noir Giusti Vineyard comes from river rock-laced soils that include lots of iron oxide. Almost completely destemmed, it was aged 16% in concrete and 32% in new French oak. This full-bodied, rich, unctuous and big boned beauty knocks it out of the park with its plum, violets, blackberry and ground herb-like aromas and flavors. It´s not for those craving lightweight aromas and flavors, but is perfectly balanced, has ripe tannin, and a big mid-palate, all suggesting it will evolve gracefully." - Robert Parker |

2013 Kosta Browne Winery, CIRQ Treehouse Pinot Noir
RP97 |
HKD $1,425.00 |
"The larger production cuvee (1,748 cases) is the 2013 Pinot Noir Treehouse Vineyard, which comes from a higher elevation site that's above the fog line, roughly eight miles from the Pacific Ocean. Its deep ruby color is followed by to-die-for notes of black raspberries, crushed violets, cassis, spice and toasted bread. Utterly perfect on the palate, with medium to full-bodied richness, an ethereal, seamless, multi-dimensional texture, fine tannin and crazy length, hats off to the team at CIRQ for this singular beauty. Give bottles a few years (if you can resist) and enjoy over the following decade or more." - Robert Parker |
