In 1978, China initiated the market reforms and has lifted from a centrally-planned to a market-based economy bringing as a result an experienced fast economic and social developmentThe year of 2018 will be the 40th Anniversary of China Open Market This increase has brought on many challenges. 

In the past 40 years, China/Suzhou had significantly developed and changed, succeed in lots of area. For Suzhou, the one of the important achievements was built up two National Level Industrial part and host thousands of foreign invested companies. Foreign investment is still a major pillar of Suzhou economy.

As one of those most active business associations, DUSA has witness the growth of Suzhou in the past 15 years together with our members. 

We all strongly believe continue growth in China as well as in Suzhou, of cause we also will share and discuss our common challenges which like raise of costs everywhere, and also regulatory issues also has become important impact to many foreign invested companies.

Cancellation Policy: 

If you registered foran event but can’t attend, please do let us know in advance. To cancel 3 days before the event will have NO cancellation fee. DUSA will charge 50% of registration fee if cancel within 3 days, and a full charge if cancel within 24 hours before event starts.

 

Guest Speakers:

Joseph Han

Mr. Joseph Han has very experienced engineering background with a master’s degree in Aerospace. He was Operation Manager in ABC-NACO US from 1999 to 2003 and was sent back to China as General Manager in a joint venture of Sino-US in 2003. 

From 2008 to 2010, Mr. Han was hired by AREVA. During the time, he was leading the acquisition business of the biggest Dry-Type Transformer in the world, and then he was nominated as the first General Manager of the JV. 

He started his career in Knorr-Bremse in 2010 as Managing Director and was promoted to Board Member of Knorr-Bremse Rail China in 2017.

 

Professor Jean Chen

Professor Jean Chen joined Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University in 2016 as the Executive Dean of International Business School.  Professor Chen wa selected by the UK Business Schools and held two senior roles as a Council Member and the Chair of Council's International Committee in the UK Royal Chartered Association of Business Schools (ABS) during 2014 and 2015. She was also elected by the China Management Academic in November 2015 to serve as an Executive Director of the China Academy of Management since then. 

 

Professor Chen is a Fellow of CPA(Australia) and an academic member of the Association of International Accountants (AIA, UK). She has a wide connection with professional bodies, industries and government organizations through her many years’ executive education and consultancy work, such as for the British Government (DFID andDTI), the EU, the Bank of China, and many private companies in China and overseas. 

 

Professor Chen has been recognized internationally as an expert of accounting and finance in general and more specifically in the field of corporate governance. This recognition has beenreflected by serving as an editor and on the editorial board of world leading academic journals, delivering international conference keynote speeches and seminars,and participating in advisory and review bodies. She has published over 100journal articles in leading international academic journals.

 

Dickson Yeo

Dickson Yeo is an international relations researcher stationed in Singapore and Beijing. He has a decade of experience in Energy Security Policy, ASEAN affairs and events management stretching to 2005.

As a current LKYSPP PhD candidate, he has to navigate between the private sector, public governance and international affairs, as well as between small states and emerging giants such as China and India. 

Hence, he adamantly believes that businessis the business of Asian governance and that the vitality of the private sectoris crucial in achieving dynamic collaboration between Asian economies in the 21st Century. 

Dickson is educated in Singapore, the US and Japan and continues to be an avid seeker of fresh perspectives.

 

Moderator - C.J. Ng

C.j. Ng —— C.j. is the Master Trainer for Leadership IQ in Asia who have helped international companies achieve quantumimprovements in business performances in China and beyond.

 

C.j. is the 1st and only China-based leadership, sales & experiential learning facilitator invited to speak atthe American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) International Convention.

Since November 2017, C.j was invited to join DUSA European Association Suzhou as Board of Director.
