Why OKR (OBJECTIVES – KEY RESULTS)?

Proven methodology that was implemented by Intel, Amazon, GE etc. for ore than 30 years.
Intel, Google, Amazon, 通用电气 等知名企业已经实践了超过30年的OKR。

OKR vs KPI

KPI 理论上是必须严格按照 SMART 标准制订的,是否达到甚至达到比例多少(小于 100% 还是大于 100%)都是要能测量的。

KPI通常跟绩效考核挂钩。如果 KPI 达不到那就会影响奖金,所以就算违背公司利益违背用户利益,也要把自己的 KPI 完成了,把部门的 KPI 完成了。

OKR 解决了KPI 的种种缺陷。首先它和绩效考核分离,把绩效考核交给 peer review(相当于中国公司的 360 度评价)来做。然后它强调 Key Result 必须服从Objective。比如说:你在 Objective 上写了要让用户喜欢我们的产品,但如果你实际执行 Key Result 的手段违反了这一点,这种违背初中的做法是有目共睹。既然 Key Result 只是用来服务于 Objective,那就没必要像 KPI 那样预先制订好然后强制执行了。你可以在执行的过程中随意更改 Key Result,只要它们还是服务于原本的 Objective 就行。
