INTRODUCTION 简介

In order to cope with the challenges resulting from uncertainty and dynamics and to react quickly to disruptions, such as volatile customer demands or increasing labor costs, smart manufacturing solutions are increasingly applied in companies. But companies should be aware, that only upgrading hardwareor software is not sufficient. Operational processes must be designed changeable and the way of leadership adjusted accordingly, in order to develop manufacturing processes and corporate culture in a harmonic way.

Thereby the following question arise: What smart manufacturing capabilities are needed for the employees to coordinate the development of production in the future.

Technical professionals as a key role in the digital transformation process are usually advanced in hands-on experience and value creation, but weak process development or leadership. Therefore, a main task is to improve their influence, by developing cross-departmental communication and leadership competences as well as a systematic understanding of changeable processes.

On September 3, 2020 (Thursday), together withour partner Directions, GAMI will hold an event entitled "Smart Manufacturing - how to transform processes and people forthe factory of the future?" We will share challenges faced by the enterprises in answering the above mentioned questions as well as common approaches and best-practices.

Special focus will be put on the perspective of flexibility from process perspective as well as with respect to communication and leadership. The aim is to inspire the flexible creative thinking in order to enhance the influence of technical professionals, and to provide solutions for improving the operational efficiency companies in the transformation and upgrading process.

Welcome to join us!
