FOREVERMARK UNVEILS ARTIST COLLABORATION
AT 2017 TRENDS PREVIEW EVENT IN MILAN

20TH SEPTEMBER 2016 (Milan, Italy) Forevermark has previewed their 2017 Trend Report at an exclusive cocktail event as part of Milan Fashion Week. Held within the prestigious and historic Palazzo Bagatti Valsecchi in the heart of Milan’s fashion district, the event was attended by international media and influencers, including Hong Kong style blogger Cara G and Chinese actress Feihong Yu.

To mark the occasion, Forevermark commissioned world renowned artist Rebecca Louise Law to create a unique installation that was unveiled at the event. Rebecca is best known for using flora in her artwork and the physicality and sensuality of her work plays with the relationship between humanity and nature.

Costantino Papadimitriou, Forevermark’s Head of Brand Strategy and Innovation comments, “Milan, the world capital of design and home of Forevermark’s Design and Innovation Centre is the most fitting place to preview Forevermark’s 2017 Trend Report. We are delighted to be working with Rebecca Louise Law to mark this important event, her appreciation and consideration of nature’s beauty is synonymous with Forevermark’s ethos”.

Rebecca’s work reflects the thought and creativity behind Forevermark’s 2017 Trend Report and is inspired by the inherent beauty, absolute integrity and eternal qualities of Forevermark diamonds. ‘White, 2016’ was hand-crafted using 17,000 individual preserved white flowers and features a composition of white Acrocliniums and Rodathes.

Rebecca comments, “I have been inspired by the depth of thought and the consideration for mankind and nature that goes into sourcing each Forevermark diamond. The purity of the brand excites me and having the opportunity to respond to Forevermark’s integrity and sensitivity has led me to create an installation of the purest and most subtle form to date”.

It took 800 hours of labour to intricately intertwine the flowers using Rebecca’s signature copper wire. Suspended above a beautiful Italian courtyard, Rebecca has utilised the natural light to create a unique experience for the audience, evoking the sense of standing in a field of diamonds.

Forevermark’s 2017 Trend Report will officially launch in December and encapsulates four looks that will inspire Forevermark diamond jewellery designs. Nature-inspired silhouettes, heritage inspired motifs that blend tradition with modernity and an emphasis on flowing, infinite forms will all be key trends in the year ahead.

As part of Milan Fashion Week, Forevermark will also be hosting exclusive design masterclasses where Forevermark’s expert designers will be demonstrated how to craft jewellery that encompass the key trends for the year ahead and enhance Forevermark diamonds’ inherent beauty and brilliance.
