This will be a half-day event, to be held at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 20 April 2013. You are welcome to join this event if you are interested in this issue and no prior registration is required.
Venue: Theater Z2-035, HK Polytechnic University (see map attached)
Date: 20 April 2013 (Sat)
Time: 13:40 - 18:10
Synopsis
Power companies in Hong Kong had been regulated by the Scheme of Control Agreement (SCA) since late 1960s for almost five decades with the current version expiring in 2018. After considering the market readiness and other relevant factors, the Government spells it out clearly that changes may be introduced to the regulatory framework after 31 December 2018. Meanwhile, each of the Companies and the Government have the right during the interim review year ending 31 December 2013 to request modification of any part of the Agreement. This Open Forum is going to provide a platform in time for various stakeholders and the community at large to present their views and suggestions for the development of the Electricity Supply Industry in Hong Kong.
