Dear Distributors and Friends,
Greetings from Fortissimo Films!
Following our successful Venice/Toronto launch of John Woo’s martial arts action film REIGN OF ASSASSINS and Tran Anh Hung’s cinematic adaptation of Haruki Murakami’s renowned NORWEGIAN WOOD, two powerful new directorial debuts from Australia – GRIFF THE INVISIBLE by Leon Ford (starring Ryan Kwanten of HBO’s True Blood) and WASTED ON THE YOUNG by Ben C Lucas, we would like to introduce you to a number of our new feature film collections at the upcoming MIPCOM.
We are pleased to present our collection which includes numerous award-winning features, documentaries and shorts directed by the world’s most renowned directors (this year’s Palme d’Or winner, Apichatpong Weerasethakul; Pusan’s filmmaker of the year, Tsai Ming Liang and China’s Tian Zhuangzhuang), and featuring world famous actors like Heath Ledger, Abbie Cornish, Mia Wasikowska (from ALICE IN WONDERLAND), and Donnie Yen of IP MAN. Along with our library of nearly 300 films from around the globe now available for Television, Video/DVD and Ancillary markets, we are also proud to present to you our filmmakers’ collections, including Shunji Iwai (whose upcoming English-language film, VAMPIRE, will be launched in 2011), Wong Kar Wai, Pen-ek Ratanaruang, Alex van Warmerdam, and Peter Greenaway.
At this year’s MIPCOM, our executive team of Nelleke Driessen and Gabrielle Rozing will be in attendance and would be pleased to meet with you to discuss your needs and your interest in our films.
