Course Topics
Decoding Eurocode 7 - Introduction to Eurocode 7 Part 1. This course is required prior to attending the Design courses.
 
Decoding Eurocode 7 - Design of shallow foundations. This course provides a detailed examination of Eurocode 7's requirements for the design of footings, gravity walls, and slopes.
 
Decoding Eurocode 7 - Design of deep foundations . This course provides a detailed examination of Eurocode 7's requirements for the design of pile foundations and embedded retaining walls.
 
Decoding Eurocode 7 - Ground investigation and testing covering Eurocode 7 part 2. This course provides a thorough introduction to Eurocode 7 Part 2, looking especially at the ground characterization and reporting requirements of the new design standard.

Experiences
Dr Andrew Bond has been Chairman of CEN TC250/SC7 since 2010, the committee responsible for developing and maintaining Eurocode 7. He serves on BSI committee B/526 Geotechnics. He was Vice-Chairman of European Technical Committee 10, Implementation of Eurocode 7.
 
Andrew is lead author of the book Decoding Eurocode 7, published in 2008. He is co-author of BSI’s publication PP1990 Extracts from the Structural Eurocodes for students of structural design (2004-10); the Concrete Centre’s 2006 guide How to design concrete structures using Eurocode 2; and BSI’s Structural Eurocodes Companion (2009). He is also co-author of the third edition of Earth pressures and earth retaining structures (2013).
