It is our pleasure to have the four outstanding local young artists, Mak Tin Kit, Cheuk Hiu Kwong, Law Ho Wa and Wong Hong Keung, to participate in the group exhibition “Stories of Hong Kong”. The exhibition will be held from 15th March to 30th April 2013. This event will be a great feast as it brings Hong Kong people “collective memory”.
The displayed art pieces depict the scenery of the city and daily life of Hong Kong people. You can see the deep human concerns and sincere emotions as when the artists tell the story of Hong Kong through their arts. The art works describe artists’ life journeys and that reflect the human characteristics in different eras. No matter it is describing a busy metropolis or life sceneries, these are all their real experiences and reflections. Art is about affection, recording and transmission, yet it is more about moving forward. Art always brings us a sense of warmth and affection!
These art pieces not only bring art lovers brand new visual experiences, it also provides a space of value increase in the art market. A few pieces of art works from this exhibition have been chosen to participate in Sotheby’s spring auction in 6th April 2013. Let’s keep an eye on it! |
