香港首屆油畫大賽2012

由香港藝術發展局、香港康樂及文化事務署鼎力支持、香港油畫研究會主辦的『香港首屆油畫大賽2012』，評選進展非常順利，並得到香港廣大油畫藝術工作者的熱烈迴響，已有355人報名參賽，收到參賽油畫作品1, 200多幅 。 經過十位海內外知名藝術家嚴謹的評選 ( 評委：邵大箴教授、楊飛雲教授、郭潤民教授、ANTE GLOBOTA 院士（巴黎）、鄧海超先生、呂振光教授、歐陽乃沾先生、楊春堂先生、林明琛教授、林鳴崗先生），已經選出其中 150 位參賽者，163 幅油畫作品參加展覽。（包括九位本港著名前輩油畫家和四位評委的邀請作品）這是香港開埠以來最大規模的一次油畫大展，也是香港有史以來年度油畫家最集中的一次盛會。通過展示優秀藝術家的作品，印證了被譽為經濟大都會的香港，還有許多人努力找尋精神家園的建設。

參賽作品風格多樣，琳瑯滿目。有惟妙惟肖、纖毫畢現的寫實風格，有大刀闊斧、一氣呵成的抽象表現，也有街頭巷尾、風土人情的印象描繪。有才華初顯的年輕學子，也有寶刀未老的藝壇老將。非常值得一睹他們精心佳作。屆時將有大型畫冊推出。

展覽地點：香港銅鑼灣中央圖書館 全層展覽廳

主題：香港油畫的過去、現在與將來

1st Hong Kong Oil Painting Competition 2012

The "1st Hong Kong Oil Painting Competition 2012", which is organized by Hong Kong Oil Painting Research Society, and is co-supported by Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Leisure & Cultural Services Department, receives positive feedbacks from the widespread oil-painting artists in Hong Kong. There're altogether 355 participants in this competition, and more than 1,200 pieces of oil paintings have been recevied. After a strict level of evaluation by ten renowned artists (Adjudicators: Prof. Shao Daxian, Prof. Yang Feiyun, Prof. Guo Yunmin, Prof. Ante Glibota, Mr. Tang Hoi Chiu, Prof. Lui Chun Kwong, Mr. Au Yeung Nai Chim, Mr. Yeung Chun Tong, Prof. Lin Mingchen, and Mr. Lin Minggang). 150 participants and 163 oil-painting pieces are nominated for the exhibition. (The pieces include the elegant paintings created by 9 renowned oil-painting masters and 4 adjudicators) This is the largest-scale oil painting exhibition since the initial development of Hong Kong. It is regarded as the most splendid event which gathers all the oil-painting artists. Through the exhibited pieces, it demonstrates that, many Hong Kong people still endeavour to search for a construction of superstructural garden in this economic-based metropolitan.

There's a great diversity of painting pieces. Styles include Realism, Expressionism and Abstractism. Themes include avenues and customs. Participants include both adolescents and masters. Their pieces are worth for appreciation. Catalogues will be published during the exhibition.
