NoClone 2007 has released for a few months with new features like searching duplicate Outlook emails and similar files. We have received a number of enquiries about guide to uncover duplicate emails. Here is a simple routine to let NoClone clean up your Outlook mail box!
Start the search
- Select "Duplicate emails" in Search Template
- Select outlook folder by clicking [Browse...].
- Customize the duplicate criteria by pressing "Define...", press "OK" to confirm
- Press "Search" button to begin the search.
Mark the emails
- Select "Mark" > "Smart Marker" at the menu bar or Press [Ctrl-K].
- Choose you desired marking criteria:
Note: Choosing more than one criteria will mark emails only satisfying ALL Criteria.
- click the option "Including subfolders" if you want to mark all emails in the folder structure.
- If all files in the duplicate email group are marked, you can check [Don't mark all files in a group] to leave at least one file unmarked. It is NOT recommended to uncheck this box as it may lead to marking whole duplicate email groups.
- If you want to make should all group is marked, you can check the box [Don't leave group be unmarked]. However this option will NOT mark all files in a group.
- Finally, Click [Mark] to mark files which fulfilling your criteria. Or you can choose [Mark all Except One] to mark all files except one in every group. This is particularly useful if you just want to eliminate all duplicate emails.
Handle duplicate emails
- Click the Action > Save Space in the menu bar.
- Move to deleted item - delete emails by moving it to "Deleted items" folder, which is recoverable in Outlook.
- Delete permanently - Permanently delete the email from Outlook.
- Move To - Move items to selected folders.
Recommendation: Delete by moving to "Deleted items", to avoid unrecoverable mistaken deletion.
