Special $698/Botte
(minimum order 6 bottles per delivery address, order by email only)

Tasting Note:
Tasted at Bordeaux Index’s Pontet-Canet dinner at The Ledbury. The 2007 continues to be a great Pauillac
considering the vintage. Here the nose closed at first back opens up nicely with blackberry and graphite,
less of the Margaux element that I noticed a few months ago. The palate has volume so atypical for the vintage
with soft caressing tannins and a very harmonious blackcurrant, mulberry and vanilla tinged finish.

2. Chateau Pavie Macquin 2007
(St. Emilion GCC)

Gilbert & Gaillard Rating: 92pts
Jean-Marc Quarin Rating: 92
pts
Stephen Tanzer Rating: 91pts
Wine Enthusiast Rating: 90pts
La Revue du Vin de France Rating: 18.5/20 points
Bettane et Desseauve Rating: 17/20 points
Gault & Millau Rating: 17/20 points

Special $560/Botte
(minimum order 6 bottles per delivery address, order by email only)

Tasting Note:
This property never makes a very forward style of wine, and in the precocious, charming,
upfront 2007 vintage, Pavie Macquin has fashioned an unexpectedly backward, powerful offering.
Perhaps this vineyard’s character is due to the clay and limestone plateau on which the vineyard is planted.
Composed of 85% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine achieved 14%
natural alcohol in 2007. The wine reveals a dense blue/purple color in addition to a bouquet of burning
embers intermixed with charcoal, graphite, blackberries, and cassis. Extracted, but not excessively so,
and full-bodied, with lots of tannin and structure, this atypical 2007 requires 3-4 years of cellaring.
It should evolve for 15 or more years.

3. Chateau Leoville Barton 2007
(St. Juline GCC)

Gilbert & Gaillard Rating: 96pts
Jean-Marc Quarin Rating: 92
pts
Wine Spectator Rating: 92pts
Wine Enthusiast Rating: 94pts
La Revue du Vin de France Rating: 18/20 points
Bettane et Desseauve Rating: 17.5/20 points
Gault & Millau Rating: 17/20 points

Special $570/Botte

(minimum order 6 bottles per delivery address, order by email only)

Tasting Note:
A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc. This seems lighter on the nose
than Langoa Barton, but it has greater delineation and lift with notes of blackberry, cedar, wild hedgerow
and a touch of black plum. The palate is medium-bodied, well-balanced with ripe tannins. Very cohesive
and harmonious with a great clarity and focus on the elegant finish. Very natural.

4. Chateau Malescot St Exupery 2007
(Margaux GCC)

Gilbert & Gaillard Rating: 92pts
CellarTracker Rating: 90
pts
Stephen Tanzer Rating: 90pts
Wine Spectator Rating: 90pts
La Revue du Vin de France Rating: 17.5/20 points
Special $465/Botte

(minimum order 6 bottles per delivery address, order by email only)

Tasting Note:
Tasted blind at the 2007 Bordeaux horizontal in Southwold. The Malescot St. Exupery 2007
appears to be improving with bottle age. It has an understated bouquet with touches of cooked meat,
cedar and tar. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, good acidity and less abrasive and brusque
than it seemed out of barrel with a much more supple, balanced finish. Commendable. Drink Now to 2018.

5. Chateau Lascombes 2007
(Margaux GCC)

Gilbert & Gaillard Rating: 95pts
Jean-Marc Quarin Rating: 89
pts
Stephen Tanzer Rating: 89pts
Wine Enthusiast Rating: 90pts
Gault & Millau Rating: 17/20 points
Special $599/Botte

(minimum order 6 bottles per delivery address, order by email only)

Tasting Note:
A brilliant effort for the vintage, the 2007 Lascombes is an impressive, larger-scaled wine with beautiful
notes of incense, spring flowers, blackberries, cassis, and subtle spicy oak. Full-bodied, rich, and concentrated,
with no hard edges, this voluptuously textured Margaux can be drunk now or cellared for 15 years.

6. Chateau La Mondotte 2007
(St. Emilion GCC)

Jean-Marc Quarin Rating: 93pts
Wine Spectator Rating: 90pts
Stephen Tanzer Rating: 93pts
La Revue du Vin de France Rating: 17.5/20 points
Bettane et Desseauve Rating: 17.5/20 points
Gault & Millau Rating: 18/20 points

Special $1599/Botte

(minimum order 6 bottles per delivery address, order by email only)

Tasting Note:
Very little wine is produced (about 400 cases) from this tiny 5-acre vineyard, but it is always among
the most concentrated and richest of Bordeaux. The inky/purple-colored 2007 offers sweet cassis fruit notes
interwoven with notions of graphite, chalk dust, and toast. Full-bodied with terrific purity and intensity
(14.5% alcohol), it should drink well for 20+ years.
