WA Ms. Lisa Perrotti-Brown Said:
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2012 Taylors Shiraz offers a nose of crushed blackcurrants,
black cherries and mulberries highlighted by hints of dried herbs, anise and pepper.
Medium-bodied, it has a good concentration of youthful blackberry flavors supported by medium level,
sweet tannins and lively acid before finishing long. Drink Now to 2018.

Tasting Note:
Produced from the shiraz plantings on the 340-ha estate
vineyards that date back to 1969,
the wine has a strong, healthy colour,
with a bouquet of black fruits, vanilla bean and touches of spice.
Then
follows a medium- to full-bodied, mouthfilling palate, with oceans of black
fruits and well- integrated vanilla oak,
promising much for the future.
Drink it now or in 18 years - it's up to you.
Winner of a 5 Gold medal &
4 Silive medal at the Wine Competition 2013.

"Elvio Cogno Winery"
sits on the top of Bricco Ravera, a hill near Novello in the Langhe area of
Piedmont,
one of the eleven communes in which Barolo is produced. The cellar
is housed in an 18th-century
manor farm surrounded by 11 hectares of land, all
occupied by vineyards.
After a long and fruitful partnership with
Marcarini at La Morra, in 1990 Cogno bought a splendid historical
farm in the
family village and restored it to its former glory. Today the winery nestles in
a breathtaking
landscape between the hills and the sky. At sunset on clear days,
a wonderful turquoise horizon frames
the farm like a painting. Hence the name of
this exceptional wine land: ‘Petorchino’, or blue feet.
The Cogno family
has been making wine in the Langhe area for four generations: the values of
history and tradition handed down by father Elvio are enhanced by the freshness
and innovation
introduced by his daughter Nadia and her husband Valter Fissore.
We are selling this at our ever lowest Price.
which is excellent to enjoy this limited production wine with your business partner and friends.

1. Cogno Barolo Cascina Nuova 2007
(Piedmont - ITALY)
Buy mix 6 bottles Special price - HKD440/B
Buy mix 12 or more Special Price: HKD 398/b
Wine Enthusiast Rating:95 points,
Wine Spectator Rating: 95 points,
James Suckling Rating: 92 points,
WA (AG) Rating: 92 points,
Vinous Antonio Galloni Rating: 92 points.
WA (AG) Tasting Note:
The 2007 Barolo Cascina Nuova is another terrific entry-level wine. It naturally
shows more depth
and body than the Barbaresco Bordini, but shares much of that
wine’s early appeal. Sweet red berries,
hard candy, flowers and cedar are some
of the nuances that emerge from this open, textured Barolo.
This is a feminine,
silky Barolo best enjoyed while the fruit retains its raciness.
A clean, pointed
finish rounds things out in style. Drink Now to 2022.
2. Cogno Barolo Ravera 2007
(Piedmont - ITALY)
Buy mix 6 bottles Special price - HKD 540/b
Buy mix 12 or more bottles Special price: HKD 498/b
Huon Hooke Rating: 96 points,
Vinous Antonio Galloni Rating: 94 points,
WA (AG) Rating: 93+ points,
James Suckling Rating: 93 points,
Stephen Tanzer Rating: 93 points,
Wine Entusiast Rating: 93 points.
WA (AG) Tasting Note:
The 2007 Barolo Ravera shows marvelous depth and richness, but is not hugely
different from the Cascina Nuova,
perhaps because the vintage has such a strong
influence in both wines. It is a big, muscular Barolo endowed
with layers of
dark fruit, mocha, leather, licorice and smoke. A large, scaled dramatic finish
rounds
out this compelling, totally delicious Barolo. (Drink Now to 2025)
3. Cogno Barolo Bricco Pernice 2007
(Piedmont - ITAlY)
Buy mix 6 bottles Special price - HKD 690/b
Buy mix 12 or more bottles Special price: 648/b
James Suckling Rating: 95 points,
Falstaff Magazin Rating: 94 points.
Wine Entusiast Rating: 94 points,
WA (AG) Rating: 93 points,
Vinous Antonio Galloni Rating: 93 points.
WA (AG) Tasting Note:
The 2007 Barolo Bricco Pernice, from the heart of Ravera, is a ripe, fleshy wine
very much in the style of the year.
Layers of dark red fruit, flowers and spices
caress the palate through to the rich, resonant finish.
The 2007 boasts
incredible depth and sheer gravitas. Layers of flavor build to the sumptuous,
seamless finish. This is a bold, in-your-face Barolo that will drink well right
out of the gate.
Three years in cask may have been a bit much for a wine that
was so flashy from the outset.
(Drink Now to 2022).
4. Cogno Barolo Vigna Elena 2004
(Piedmont - ITALY)
Buy mix 6 bottles Special price - HKD 740/b
Buy mix 12 or more bottles Special price: 698/b
WA (AG) Rating: 94 points,
Vinous Antonio Galloni Rating: 94 points,
Wine & Spirits Magazine Rating: 94 points.
WA (AG) Tasting Note:
The 2004 Barolo Vigna Elena is another fine, articulated wine that boasts layers
of fruit.
The wine keeps getting better and better in the glass, in a stunning
display of plums, leather,
minerals and French oak. Still tightly wound, this
firm, classic Barolo should repay cellaring handsomely.
This is a fantastic
Barolo from Cogno. The Vigna Elena spent 36 months in 40 hectoliter Slavonian
oak barrels.
Drink Now to 2025.

Note:
Garnet-red.
Refined, rich nose with chocolatey toasted oak accents backed by blackcurrant

rich, full-bodied Margaux. (Drink Now to 2019)

Tasting Note:
Intense

aromas.
Elegant, full palate with tannins tightly wound around the fruit. A

3.
Chateau Lafleur Gazin 2007
(Pomerol)
Special mix bottles price - HKD 450/b
CellerTracker
Rating: 88 points,
Stephen Tanzer
Rating: 88 points.
Tasting
Note:
Dark ruby/plum with notes
of garrigue a la Provence, roasted meats, plum, and black cherry,
this wine
has good grip, relatively elevated tannins for the levels of concentration, and
medium body.
It is a good, meaty, masculine style of wine to drink over the
next 12-15 years.
4.
Chateau Pontet Canet 2007
(Pauillac)
Special mix bottles price - HKD 699/b
James Suckling
Rating: 95 points,
Wine
Enthusiast Rating: 94 points,
R.Parker Rating:
94
points.
Tasting Note:
Tasted at Bordeaux Index’s
Pontet-Canet dinner at The Ledbury. The 2007 continues to be a great Pauillac
considering the vintage. Here the nose closed at first back opens up nicely
with blackberry and graphite,
less of the Margaux element that I noticed a
few months ago. The palate has volume so atypical for the vintage
with soft
caressing tannins and a very harmonious blackcurrant, mulberry and vanilla
tinged finish.
Drink Now to 2020
5.
Chateau La Tour Carnet 2009
(Haut Medoc)
Special mix bottles price - HKD 360/b
Gilbert & Gaillard
Rating: 95 points,
Falstaff Magazin
Rating: 92 points,
R.Parker
Rating: 92 points.
Tasting
Note:
The finest wine made
here since the 2005, the 2009 (a blend of 53% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon,
and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot) was harvested between
September 29 and October 22.
Its dense purple color is followed by abundant
aromas of camphor, charcoal, barrique, blackberries,
and creme de cassis.
Dense, structured, and full-bodied with high, but sweet, well-integrated
tannins,
and tremendous precision as well as freshness, this 2009 should
evolve for 20-25 years. Drink Now to 2029.
