Background:
Les Charmes Godard 擁有獨特的酒標，彷似一個趣怪小孩的樣子. 如說是小孩,
它就是擁有 Le Pin 的 Thienpont 家族擁 有十三個孩子的其中一個，其它還包括出名的
Chateau Pavie Macquin，Chateau Larcis Ducasse, Chateau Bellevue, Chateau La Prade
以及 Chateau Puygueraud 等等.....
在此想介紹一下 Les Charmes Godard 的釀酒顧問 Stéphane Derenoncourt
Stéphane Derenoncourt 原本住在法國北部 Dunkirk, 家人是鋼鐵工人, 1982年他來到Fronsac 區工作,
之后十年他靠著領取最低薪資一邊彈吉他過著農工生活.1990年他搬到 Saint Emilion, 透過他的前老闆的關系,
開始在 Chateau Pavie Macquin 工作. 1993年對波爾多來說是普通的年份,但他卻把1993年的 Pavie Macquin
釀得非常好.其后大家便開始注意他.在機緣下他與 Chateau Canon La Gaffeliere 的德國老闆
Comte Stephan von Neipperg 見面, Neipperg 提出他在 Pavie Macquin 旁有一塊小地,
他想用這塊土地長出來的葡萄生產高品質的紅酒 La Mondotte, 於是邀請 Derenoncourt 幫手,
他答應后便釀造了家傳戶曉的 1996 La Mondotte. 其后,他在波爾多及世界各地接了很多釀酒顧問的工作,
目的是宣揚他所相信的生物動力法(Bio-dynamic), 放棄化學農藥肥料,把葡萄園的潛力發揮出來,
把該處的風土條件(terroir)充份表達出來.
Tasting Note:
The 2010 Les Charmes-Godard is revealing more rustic tannin than it did from barrel,
but it is weighty, deep, rich effort offering a flamboyant nose of black fruits, coffee, chocolate,
and toasty oak. While dense and full-bodied, the rough tannin in the finish suggests it will
benefit from another year or so of bottle age; it should keep for a decade. Bravo!
