Information:
The Belgian oenologist Pierre Degroote spoils us for years with his flaw less gevinifieerde wines
from southern France (Domaine de Ribaute, Domaine deRivoire, Domaine du Busquet, etc.) 
We present his latest, namely the Château Lalande is located in the cabardès just outside Carcassonne. 
Carried by the peak year 2010, this part eikgerijpte wine a tasty, juicy assembly of syrah, grenache,
cabernet sauvignon and merlot.

Tasting Note:
The Cabardès has a special microclimate, dominating Mediterranean but with cool maritime influences. 
Ideal for the maturation of natural (without pesticides)and pure grapes bursting with flavor and fruit. 
Beautiful ruby ​​red color and when pouring immediately that heavenly bouquet of red fruit intertwined
with Mediterranean herbs. A very pleasant and velvety starter that nicely breaks open mouth and sublime

3. Chateau Blaignan Cru Bourgeois 2008

Background:
55% Cabernet Sauvignon & 45% Merlot. Chateau Blaignan is the oldest winemaking estate
in the Medoc region of Bordeaux (over 600 years old). Contrary to popular opinion, there were some
winegrowing estates in the northern Médoc before the 18th century. This came to light during a court
case that started in 1727. Documents dating back to the 15th century revealed that vineyards were
already planted in Blaignan at that time. Today, Credit Agricole Grands Crus, the new owner,
is deeply committed to the renaissance of Blaignan and has invested over 3 million euros in the cellars
and vineyards in 2010. Their star winemaking team, headed by world famous winemaker,
Professor Denis Dubourdieu, is making the best of an outstanding terroir,
next to the famous Chateau Podensac.

Tasting Note:
Final blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. 87 hectare vineyards are planted on the highest
part of the village of Blaignan, the average age of the vines is 25 years. Nice ruby dark color with violet reflections.
Fresh, very soft, and sweet ripe nose of black currant followed by spicy notes of white pepper, fresh tobacco
and cedar wood. This medium to full-bodied wine shows elegant tannins. It is already very approachable
and will improve with a few years of ageing. Matches perfectly with red and white meat, pasta,
hamburger and barbecue.  Drink Now to 2018.

        
            
5. Chateau Le Clos Daviaud 2009

Grape: 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Franc & Ageing 12 months in oak barrels.

Tasting Note:
Another sleeper of the vintage from this under-the-radar estate, the 2009 Le Clos Daviaud exhibits a deep
ruby/purple color as well as notes of black cherries, crushed rocks, and a liqueur of kirsch-like component.
With medium to full body and plenty of length and succulence, this fruity wine can be enjoyed over the next 5-7 years.
