One of my favorite cult Puisseguin St.-Emilions. The 2011 Guillotin is composed of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc that hit 12% natural alcohol. It exhibits a sumptuous personality along with lots of blackberry and black currant fruit intertwined with charcoal, truffle and forest floor notes. Dense, rich and full-bodied with good acidity as well as sweet, well-integrated tannin, it should be approachable in its youth and evolve for 10+ years. Drink Now to 2021

An outstanding sleeper of the vintage, the 2005 may turn out to be one of the finest examples yet of this modern-styled St.-Emilion. Nicely oaked, ripe but not over-ripe, it possesses a deep ruby/purple color as well as sweet scents of pain grille, kirsch liqueur, and black currants.
